Purple and its components - handspun and handdyed wool yarn

Washed, picked, carded handdyed and handspun by Fiberdog Fibers.

We all know that purple is created by combining red and blue. Inspired by this marvelous fact, I dyed some naturally grey wool in various shades of red, blue and purple and combined them all together. 

The result is a lightly textured purple yarn with specks of blue and red adding interest to it.

As always this product started in my studio as a raw fleece which I then processed by hand for you.
I've included a collection of pictures of the wool in its different stages, so you can also enjoy the transformation from fleece to yarn.
